Roisin & Matthew - England July 2012

Hi Pablo
We went on a four day safari to the Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater as part of our honeymoon in June 2012. I emailed Pablo to organise this months in advance and he was always very prompt to reply and able to put together exactly what we wanted on safari - I had been to Tanzania before and already been to some parks so knew which ones I wanted to go to and which I did not. Other tour operators were not flexible and able to provide just these two parks in 4 days but Flamingo Tours had no problem with flexibility. We were met at the airport as we got off the plane and we had already arranged a hotel in Arusha overnight, however Flamingo Tours are willing to organise this for you if needed and find a well priced hotel for you. We were picked up from our hotel early the next morning and set off for the Serengeti!

Our guide was Siggy and he was an excellent driver and had good knowledge of the animals and was able to get us very close to animals - a leopard actually jumped down from a tree and ran right in front of us! We also came very close to many lions and saw millions of zebra and wildebeasts migrating from the serengeti. Jonas was our chef and he was amazing - 4 course meals three times a day! We put on weight the food was so good!
The campsites were great - as mentioned I had been on safari before with another company and the campsite I had stayed at before was awful and full of mosquitoes. With Flamingo Tours we stayed at Pimbi camp in serengeti and Simba at Ngorongoro and there was plenty of wildlife at the camp which added to the safari experience with zebra and elephants walking past our tent at night and the sound of hyenas and lions in the distance!

We had an amazing time on safari with Flamingo tours and would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a reliable, well priced and excellent safari experience!
Thanks again for an amazing safari we will never forget,

Roisin and Matthew Anderson.

Hello Pablo, Noel, Sos and everyone at Flamingo-tours!
It is impossible to talk about our trip to Tanzania without losing ourselves in superlatives, but we will try to do so anyway. When we met Pablo in Arusha, he had arranged the Nairobi-Arusha transfer, the hotel in Arusha, a three-day trekking on Mount Meru and our flights to Zanzibar and back. He had arranged it perfectly.

We left at 9 in the morning with our team: Noel would be our guide, Justin our cook, Jabani our porter. Entering Arusha National Park, they taught us our first Swahili words: the names of some animals in so-called little Serengeti: pumba, mbogo, ... and hakuna matata: those words will always remind us of their way of life – not of the Disney movie song. Climbing mount Meru we saw different vegetation and different animals: bush bock, black-and-white colobus,... On little Meru (3820) we had a little view but a lot of fun; however, the real thing was yet to come. The third day, we got up at 1 in the morning and reached Socialist Peak (4562) a couple of minutes after sunrise. The view was marvellous. During these three days, our team was great; the food was delicious.

After this wonderful experience we asked Pablo to arrange a three day safari for us when we would get back from Zanzibar. We would enjoy Noels cooking skills once again and we met Sos, an extraordinary guide possessing both vast knowledge about animals and human interest. We passed three terrific days with him in Tarangire, Ngogongoro and Lake Manyara. He is a great guide and an entertaining table companion. We can't possibly explain how overwhelmed we were by Tanzanian wildlife: we consider it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but at the same time we are sure we will be back to experience it again, and we would only want to do so with you!

So once again, thank you all for these two wonderful weeks. We hope your business goes well and we will recommend you to everybody in Belgium who wants to travel to Tanzania. We really hope to see you again soon!

Johannes and Liesbeth

Linda & Daniel - Sweden September 2011

Hi Paul!
We are now back in Sweden were we have 15 degrees and rain.. it was much nicer weather in Tanzania! Thank you so much for two fantastic weeks, you really made us feel comfortable and it has been the trip of our lives!
We also loved Zanzibar but we really missed the mainland with all the animals and the open road. We have shown a lot of pictures to our family and we found out that no pictures can describe our experience. But we did get a lot of good pictures :)
We will come down again, as we said, and then we really hope that we could meet you! Good luck with everything and we hope that your business really takes off. We would do anything we can to promote your business. Hope you got to spend some nice days with your family and that they all are well.

Best regards,

Linda & Daniel Griffiths

Hi Pablo & and crew!
Thanks again for this amazing time with you. Two days before we intended to start the trip we began to plan and to contact Pablo. Within a couple of hours, some emails and phone-calls everything was well organized according to our wishes!

The safari itself was excellent. Pick up at the airport, reliable people, astonishing food, friendly driver-guide and a funny cook! We saw all the big 5 and also much more.
Unfortunately we only went by the spare car, an old model making a a lot of noise and dust on the transit roads, because the usual cars have been being repaired at this time and we didn‘t know that beforehand. But besides of this it was an amazing trip with you!
Merry Christmas and a happy new year

Claudia & Burhan

Baukje & Arnold - Netherlands Mai 2009

Habari Pablo,

Hello to all the people who are reading this comment.
We are Baukje and Arnold van Rijn from Holland.
February and March 2009 we have been working and travelling in Tanzania. For me, Baukje, it was the third time.
I have met Pablo the first time, four years ago in Haydom. There I was working in the hospital.
Pablo is a very open and honest person. From that time on we are mailing often.
The second time, two years ago, I have been to Tanzania with my husband.
And of course we have been on safari with Pablo and his private cook Husseini.
Ngorongoro, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Tarangira and Arusha National Park.
Really unforgettable!
This year we wanted to go to Haydom, for meeting friends of the hospital. The roads are really very bad so we need a good, safe driver. We were lucky, Pablo would be our driver. We had a lot of fun, but also good conversations.
Pablo had arranged a cover for the spare wheel of our Toyota. Now we are driving with this cover through Holland making promotion of his Flamingo tours & safari company.
About two years we hope to come to Tanzania again, so we will meet again.
Much greetings,

Niels & Alexandra - Netherlands October 2009

Dear Pablo and Noel,

A few months ago we went on a wonderfull safari with you.
We really did not know what to expect, but you surprised us with your friendlyness, your service and knowledge and Noels great cooking!
Pablo was so kind to pick us up from the busstation in Arusha and brought us to a nice hotel to stay for the night.  The next day we could already leave for safari!
We went on a three day safari, to Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Tarangire national park.  Pablo knew exactly where to look for us to see the most animals and we saw more animals then we thought we would.  We actually saw the big five!  In Lake Manyara we saw lots of elephants and buffalos (and of course giraffes, zebras, dikdiks, lots of birds, wildebeasts, etc), in Ngorongoro crater we saw our first lion!  We actually saw lions preparing for hunting some zebras, but they probably weren't very hungry.. they just let them walk.  And there was a lion right next to our jeep!  It was amazing, she was so close!
Very far from our car, hidden in the grass, we have seen two of the 32 black rhinos still alive..
The final day, in Tarangire, we had the luck another guide had spotted a leopard behind a big rock.  The leopard was sleeping, but after a long time she showed us her head.  It was beautifull. Pablo told us it is very hard to find leopards so we were very lucky that day.
After those three days we were very tired but we also felt very lucky.  Pablo took good care of us, we saw lots of animals, we had a great time and we were really surprised to have Noel cook for just the two of us, it was so much more luxurious than we could ever imagine.

We will recommend you to everyone who is interested in going on a great safari, thank you again for the wonderfull time!!

Asante sana!

Niels and Alexandra,

Yuki & Erik - United Kingdom April 2009

Hi Evelyn,
Just to let you know, Erik and I had a great time on the Safari! Pablo met us the first day in Arusha and introduced us to the driver-guide Pierre and the next morning, we left for Serengeti via the Ngorongoro crater rim, saw many Giraffes, zebras and Wilderbeests and when we got to Serengeti, it was totally breathtaking! We saw about 30 lions in total, hundreds of hippos in the Hippo pool, a leopard, lots of buffalos, 2 cheetas, hyenas, warthogs, lions eating a buffalo right next to our jeep and flamingoes in the distance. The packed lunches were good too, and Pierre was very knowledgeable though he looked like he was 15! I will send you photos once I get a moment to upload them onto my PC so you can put it up on the website. The jeep was a bit run down but we didnt really mind - some of my picky banker friends may though...but I will recommend Pablo and Flamingo tours nevertheless as you guys were fabulous! Thanks also for taking care of the transfers to/from Nairobi. All the immigration formalities went smoothly. Happy to report also that we had no stomach bugs and came back healthy! We miss Tanzania already so hope to go back again sometime soon. Thanks a lot again,
Yuki & Erik

Jambo Pablo,
Habari za asubui?
We just got back to New York Friday night.  The four days in Zanzibar was very relaxing.  I want to thank you for giving us such an amazing experience in Africa.  It is really the guide that makes the difference on a trip like this and we could not have asked for anything more.  We knew that your number one priority was making sure that we had everything we needed and got to do everything we intended to do, even with the mix up in the itinerary.  We all learned so much on this trip and I can definitely say that I am a better person for having been to Africa.  I hope you enjoyed spending the week with us as well.
The pictures are amazing.  It may take me a couple weeks, but I will send you a package with pictures and CDs, so keep an eye out for it.
I hope you got your two weeks off.  Talk to you soon and good luck with your new company.
Asante Sana,    Quaheri,,

Jambo Evelyn/Pablo ,
yes being on safari with Pablo was a lot of fun , especially as it was just us & captain Cook , so we had a lot of flexibility re getting going / changing the plan on a whim if we felt like it .I especially think its a great choice for those who dont want to be ina group , because the one on one conversations are great .
Thanks for also taking the time to share ( Flugence) your home with us & introduce me to your parents .
I hope they get the roof on the house this year ...
Heres a couple of shots of Pablo & I  in the serengeti camp......& the Chui kill
Thanks Evelyn for all your patience in answering all my questions .

Mike & Alan - United Kingdom January 2008
"We had a great trip with Flamingo Safaris and Pablo was a very good guide who obviously knows his stuff. We had our own itinerary in mind and in using Pablo's advice and by taking all of our requirements into consideration he came up with a well planned and well executed trip. The food and facilities were excellent and we saw everything that we had set out to see. I would be happy to use this company again and would recommend Flamingo Safaris to anyone else who is planning on a safari."
